Love is All Around…..
Is it, you say?
The state of the world doesn’t give off a lot of “warm and fuzzy” feelings. People seem to be so angry, racism still rears it’s ugly head. I’ve heard from multiple folks how people have been extra rude and inconsiderate.
And what exactly IS going on Ottawa??
And now the Ukraine.
These past few years have been enough to give even the most positive and hopeful person a knock in the teeth or two.
So what do we do? How do we navigate through this seemingly apocalyptic sh%t storm??!!!
Well, I’m going to tell you. 🙂
You really have 2 choices.
1) Believe everything you see with your eyes on the news every day and in social media.
Follow along with the Facebook tirades of the angry masses. Hang out with people who can only seem to carry on conversations about the “apocalyptic sh*t stormy” looking world OR…….
2) Avoid the Negative Nellys, Doomsayers, angry bloggers on social media as much as possible.
Do not let yourself get bogged down with the media who often show us skewed stories in order to elicit the greatest shock value. Question everything you read on the Internet.
Choose your inner circle of friends wisely; hang out with positive, optimistic people as much as posssible.
It doesn’t mean you or they aren’t aware of what’s going on in the world; it’s just that they choose NOT to let it govern their EVERY thought.
I want to share with you some things I do to help me navigate this rapidly changing world.
Random Acts Of Kindness~
I HIGHLY recommend looking for opportunities to do a RAOK everyday. Or when you are simply having a really tough day and you’re feeling just so beat down by the world. It doesn’t have to be elaborate.
When I was having a particularly blah day and just feeling sad, I went for a coffee and I paid for the order behind me. It didn’t matter if it was a $2 coffee or a whole meal, I was doing it. And afterwards I DID feel better! Just imaging the happy surprise in the car behind me when they got to the window was enough for me to smile and feel better. It’s SO easy. And SO powerful.
Darkness CANNOT exist where there is Light. Nothing would make the darkness happier if you got swallowed up with it, but that is not where we are meant to live.
WE ARE MEANT TO SHINE.
And every time you do something that makes you feel good, a ripple is sent out to the Universe. The more we can immerse ourselves in joyful activities, the higher our vibration goes.
The higher you vibrate, the more positive energy you are sending out into this world. This is how we change the world….through Love.
Meditate.
The fastest and easiest way to keep yourself and your energy calm and centered in today’s world is through meditation. It may sound cliche and all hippy froo-froo, but even 5 minutes each day will do wonders.
Breathe now. Deep breaths.
Oh, and bonus…..The happier and more at peace you are and thus the higher you vibrate, the more good things the Universe sends to you. Because you are matching that “JOY” frequency!
The Power Of Prayer
Don’t underestimate the power of your “good thoughts” for others. Because that is essentially what a prayer is. You want someone to feel better, or to be safe and even thinking it sends out the energy.
Prayer doesn’t have to be done in a church; you don’t even have to be religious! You have so much power inside of you already and you do have an effect on the outside world. You may never see the tangible or immediate results of your prayer, but when we ask our guides, angels, Jesus, Buddha, God, Universe for help, peace or hope, the message is received and help is always given.
Essential Oils
I am so utterly grateful that we have easy access to healing plants that help us relieve stress and anxiety….and so many other benefits.
The best oils I use when I am feeling pressured, upset and out of balance are….well Balance from Doterra to begin! I will rub a few drops on the bottoms of my feet. Our feet have so many nerve endings on the surface area that the oils here get absorbed well and communicate with our whole body to help calm and ground.
Adaptiv~ a few drops on the diffuser and on my wrists and/or feet when things are REALLY stressful. If you are going through a difficult time, take Adaptiv capsules will help protect your body.
Serenity.….the name say is all! Diffused before bed if I have trouble falling asleep. Put in the bath with Balance=instant calm.
And finally Clary Calm when I need to feel loved and supported. I rub this blend over my heart most days.
Don’t let this world steal your joy or dull your sparkle….I’m positive I read that as a meme somewhere. But it’s valid and vital.
If you look in the right places, you will see with true eyes that Love actually IS all around.
“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.”~Dalai Lama
